| About Pop Stops
Pop Stops offers monthly CD reviews exclusively on this website, www.popstops.net.
Until November 2007, Pop Stops appeared every week on Thursdays in The Star Newspapers, a suburban Chicago chain of papers for almost 20 years. The column originated in the paper's regular pages in the summer of 1988, moved to the paper's newly created weekend magazine, "Prime Time" in 1989, and then appeared in "First Look," the paper's latest weekend magazine. My reflections on the column "Turning 15" ran in June of 2003. As of November 22, 2007, the column runs exclusively online. My reflections on the end of this column's print era appear in the Dec. 10, 2007 edition, You Can Go Your Own Way.
I also have posted the text of the artist interviews and live reviews I've written for various other publications, including the Illinois Entertainer magazine, where I worked as the Associate Editor from 1989-1993. Over the past few years, I haven't done artist interviews, focusing strictly on reviews.

column, I'm also a horror fiction writer. My latest short story collection, Needles & Sins is now out from Necro Books! For news on my books check my personal web site at www.johneverson.com.
Also included there in the "articles" section
